About Us

The first 'Timperley Country Fair' was held in September 1984. Every year since then, apart from in 2001 the Fair has been run on Larkhill, a piece of public land in the heart of the village.

From these early days the Fair has developed and in 1991 a Craft Show was added aimed at giving people of all ages the opportunity to enter craft classes - collages, painting, poetry, photography, jam or cake making etc.

In 2001 the Fair was cancelled on Health and Safety grounds as the wooden nissan hut introduced during the Second World War was demolished and a brick building built funded by the National Lotteries Charities Board.

A committee of around eight local people give their time freely to run the Fair, organising for which takes place from early January. Give us your support and enjoy the community spirit.
